لقي ما لا يقل عن 11 شخصا مصرعهم وأُصيب العشرات، جراء انقلاب حافلة سياحية في ولاية ناياريت غربي المكسيك.

وبحسب محطة فوكس نيوز الأميركية، قالت السلطات إن الحادث وقع الليلة الماضية بالقرب من منطقة أماتلان دي كاناس، عندما انحرفت الحافلة عن الطريق ثم انقلبت، ما أدى إلى وقوع عدد كبير من الضحايا بين الركاب.

وأفادت السلطات في البداية بإصابة 31 شخصا على الأقل، قبل أن يعلن مكتب المدعي العام في الولاية لاحقا أن 11 شخصا لقوا حتفهم، بينهم ستة في موقع الحادث وخمسة آخرون في المستشفيات متأثرين بإصاباتهم.

وتمكنت فرق الطوارئ من الوصول إلى موقع الحادث ونقل المصابين إلى المستشفيات لتلقي العلاج، فيما واصلت السلطات عمليات الإنقاذ في المنطقة.
