وصفت كوبا العقوبات الجديدة التي اعلنتها الولايات المتحدة الجمعة بأنها "غير قانونية" و"تعسفية"، في سياق من التوتر الشديد بين البلدين.

وكتب وزير الخارجية الكوبي برونو رودريغيز على منصة اكس أن "حكومة الولايات المتحدة تحذر، وترد باتخاذ تدابير أحادية وغير قانونية وتعسفية ضد كوبا".

وتستهدف العقوبات الجديدة خصوصا المصارف الأجنبية التي تتعاون مع الحكومة الكوبية، وتشمل فرض قيود على صعيد الهجرة.
