فرضت الولايات المتحدة الجمعة عقوبات جديدة على ثلاث شركات صرافة إيرانية، وذلك في إطار استهداف واشنطن "مصادر تمويل" طهران في الحرب.

وحذّرت وزارة الخزانة الأميركية في بيان منفصل، من مغبة دفع "رسوم" إلى الحكومة الإيرانية مقابل ضمان العبور الآمن لمضيق هرمز، مشدّدة على أن خطوات من هذا النوع تضع متّخذيها تحت طائلة العقوبات.

منذ شنّت الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل ضربات على إيران في نهاية شباط/فبراير، تعطّل طهران على نحو شبه كامل حركة الملاحة في مضيق هرمز الذي يعد واحدا من أهم الممرات المائية العالمية لنقل الطاقة.
