ذكرت وزارة الخارجية البريطانية الأربعاء، أنها استدعت السفير الروسي في لندن وألغت اعتماد دبلوماسي روسي.

وقال متحدث باسم الحكومة البريطانية إن بلاده تندد بشدة بالإجراءات التي اتخدتها روسيا في آذار.

ووصف الاتهامات الروسية بأنها لا أساس لها من الصحة وبأنها جزء من حملة ترهيب.

وأضاف المتحدث "هذا السلوك غير مقبول بتاتا، ولن نتسامح بشأن مضايقة أو ترهيب موظفينا الدبلوماسيين".

واستُدعي السفير الروسي لدى لندن إلى وزارة الخارجية، وأُبلغ بأن الحكومة ستلغي اعتماد دبلوماسي روسي. ولم يُكشف عن اسم الدبلوماسي.

ومضى المتحدث قائلا: "أي إجراء إضافي من جانب روسيا سيُعتبر تصعيدا وسيُقابل برد حازم ومتناسب".

ولم ترد السفارة الروسية في لندن على الفور على طلب للتعليق.
