ضرب زلزال بقوة 6,1 درجات جزيرة هوكايدو في شمال اليابان صباح الإثنين، وفق ما أفاد مرصدان أميركي وياباني.

وقالت وكالة الأرصاد اليابانية ومركز المسح الجيولوجي الأميركي إن الزلزال وقع قبيل الساعة 5,30 (21,30 ت غ الأحد) في جنوب هوكايدو على عمق نحو 80 كيلومترا.

ولم يصدر أي تحذير من أمواج مد بحري (تسونامي)، علما بأن المرصد الياباني حذّر في الأسبوع الماضي من تزايد مخاطر وقوع زلزال عنيف بعد تسجيل هزة أرضية بقوة 7,7 درجات قبالة السواحل الشمالية لإقليم إيواته.
