دعا الرئيس الأميركي السابق باراك أوباما الأحد، الأميركيين إلى نبذ العنف في أعقاب اقتحام مهاجم لعشاء مراسلي البيت الأبيض الذي كان الرئيس دونالد ترامب يحضره.

وكتب أوباما في منشور على منصة اكس "على الرغم من أننا لا نملك حتى الآن تفاصيل حول الدوافع وراء إطلاق النار الليلة الماضية خلال عشاء مراسلي البيت الأبيض، إلا أنه يتعين علينا جميعا نبذ فكرة أن يكون للعنف أي مكان في ديموقراطيتنا"، مثنيا على ضباط إنفاذ القانون الذين سارعوا لحماية ترامب.
