سجل نادي مدينة العقبة للشباب حضوراً لافتاً خلال مشاركته الأولى في بطولة المملكة للكيك بوكسينج (K1) للشباب والرجال، التي أقيمت بمدينة الحسين للشباب بعمان، بمشاركة أكثر من 150 لاعباً يمثلون 25 نادياً ومركزاً من مختلف أنحاء المملكة.

وأحرز النادي ميداليتين ذهبيتين وميدالية فضية و4 برونزيات من خلال الفريق الذي ضم 7 لاعبين.

وجاءت الميداليات عن طريق عبدالرحمن حماشا وأسامة النوايشة (ذهب)، وحمزة أبو معيتق (فضة)، وريان سكجها وخالد الصرايرة وأيهم البطوش ويوسف العسيلي (برونز).

وأشاد النادي بالجهود الكبيرة التي بذلها الجهاز الفني بقيادة عايد البطوش وشوكت الشوابكة، والتي كان لها الأثر الواضح في هذا الإنجاز، معرباً عن أمله بتحقيق المزيد من النجاحات في الاستحقاقات القادمة.
