حذّرت وحدة الجرائم الإلكترونية المواطنين من التعامل مع رسائل وهمية ترد لهواتفهم وتوهم مستقبليها بأنها صادرة عن جهات رسمية، وتطلب منهم المسارعة إلى دفع قيمة مخالفاتهم المرورية من خلال الدخول إلى رابط احتيالية مرفقة داخل الرسالة لتجنّب مضاعفة قيمة المخالفة المالية او اضافة غرامات عليها .

وتُهيب وحدة مكافحة الجرائم الإلكترونية بالمواطنين عدم التعامل مع تلك الرسائل تحت أي ظرف، واعتبارها رسائل احتيالية وحذفها من الهاتف هو الإجراء الأمثل لتجنيبهم الوقوع فريسة الاحتيال الإلكتروني واعتماد المواقع الرسمية المعروفك لاتمام مثل تلك المعاملات .
