نقلت وسائل إعلام عن الرئيس الإيراني مسعود بزشكيان، الاثنين إنه ينبغي اتباع جميع السبل العقلانية والدبلوماسية لخفض التوتر مع الولايات المتحدة، مؤكدا في الوقت نفسه أن اليقظة وعدم الثقة في التعامل مع واشنطن "ضرورة لا تقبل النقاش".

ومن المقرر أن تنتهي قريبا هدنة استمرت أسبوعين بين إيران والولايات المتحدة. ومن المتوقع أن يصل ممثلون عن الولايات المتحدة إلى إسلام أباد الاثنين لإجراء مفاوضات مع إيران، بينما لم تعلن طهران بعد ما إذا كانت سترسل وفدا إلى هناك.
