أكد الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب أن اليورانيوم المخصب سينقل من إيران إلى الولايات المتحدة بموجب أي اتفاق سلام يتم إبرامه، مشيرا إلى أن واشنطن ستقدم المساعدة لطهران لاستخراجه من المنشآت النووية التي تم تدميرها العام الماضي.

وقال ترامب في خطاب ألقاه أمام حركة "نقطة تحول الولايات المتحدة" المحافظة في فينيكس بولاية أريزونا "سنحتاج إلى أضخم الحفارات (...) ونستخرجه بالتعاون مع إيران ونعيده إلى الولايات المتحدة قريبا جدا".
