قال وزير الخزانة الأمريكي، سكوت بيسنت، اليوم الأربعاء، إن الاقتصاد الأمريكي قد يشهد تباطؤاً خلال الربع الحالي على خلفية الحرب مع إيران، مؤكداً في الوقت نفسه أن الاقتصاد لا يزال في وضع جيد ويتجه نحو التعافي.

وأوضح بيسنت، في مقابلة مع قناة “سي.إن.بي.سي”، أن أسعار النفط لا تبدو مؤثرة بشكل سلبي على توقعات التضخم، في إشارة إلى قدرة الاقتصاد على امتصاص تداعيات ارتفاع أسعار الطاقة.

وأضاف أن المؤشرات الاقتصادية الدقيقة لا تزال قوية، واصفاً البيانات بأنها “رائعة”، مشيراً إلى أن وزارة الخزانة ستواصل مراقبة مبيعات البنزين بالتجزئة كمؤشر على سلوك المستهلكين واتجاهات الإنفاق.
