محادثات إسرائيلية لبنانية في واشنطن الثلاثاء بوساطة أميركية

من المقرر عقد أول اجتماع مباشر بين إسرائيل ولبنان، الثلاثاء المقبل، في مقر وزارة الخارجية الأميركية في واشنطن، في إطار مساع دبلوماسية بوساطة أميركية.

وجاء الاتفاق عقب اتصال هاتفي بين السفير الإسرائيلي لدى واشنطن يحيئيل ليتر ونظيرته اللبنانية ندى معوض، بمشاركة السفير الأميركي لدى لبنان.

وقالت الرئاسة اللبنانية إن هذه الخطوة تهدف إلى إطلاق مسار تفاوضي والتوصل إلى وقف لإطلاق النار، في حين أكدت إسرائيل أنها وافقت على بدء "مفاوضات سلام رسمية" مع الحكومة اللبنانية.

إلا أن إسرائيل شددت على أنها لن تناقش وقف إطلاق النار مع حزب الله خلال هذه المحادثات، معتبرة أن الجماعة تمثل "العقبة الرئيسية" أمام تحقيق السلام.

ومن المقرر أن تركز المحادثات، في حال عدم التوصل إلى تهدئة، على خطوات تطالب بها إسرائيل من الحكومة اللبنانية للحد من أنشطة حزب الله.
