أعلن رئيس الوزراء اللبناني نواف سلام، الأحد، أن لبنان يعمل من أجل وقف الحرب وتأمين انسحاب إسرائيل الكامل من أراضيه عبر التفاوض، وذلك قبل اجتماع مرتقب لممثلين عن البلدين الثلاثاء في واشنطن.

وقال سلام في كلمة بثها التلفزيون عشية ذكرى اندلاع الحرب الأهلية اللبنانية "سنستمر في العمل من أجل وقف هذه الحرب، وتأمين الانسحاب الإسرائيلي من كامل أراضينا".

وأضاف أن الجهود متواصلة "وفي مقدّمتها المبادرة التي قدّمها فخامة الرئيس (جوزاف عون) للتفاوض لوقف الحرب".

وتواصل قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي عدوانها على لبنان منذ 2 آذار الماضي، إذ تجاوزت حصيلة العدوان ألفي شهيد.
