اقتحم وزير الأمن القومي الإسرائيلي المتطرف، إيتمار بن غفير، صباح الأحد، المسجد الأقصى المبارك، برفقة مجموعة من المستوطنين، وسط حماية مشددة من قوات الاحتلال.

وخلال الاقتحام، أدى المستوطنون صلوات تلمودية داخل باحات المسجد الأقصى، في خطوة استفزازية جديدة تندرج ضمن محاولات فرض واقع ديني جديد في المكان، وتكريس التقسيم الزماني والمكاني.

وقالت محافظة القدس إن هذا الاقتحام يأتي في ظل تصاعد الانتهاكات بحق المقدسات الإسلامية والمسيحية في القدس المحتلة، واستمرار القيود المفروضة على دخول المصلين.
