سجلت محمية البترا الاثرية نشاطا ملحوظا في الحركة السياحية خلال عطلة نهاية الاسبوع، حيث بلغ عدد الزوار يومي الجمعة والسبت 2264 زائرا من مختلف الجنسيات.

وبحسب الاحصائيات الصادرة عن سلطة إقليم البترا التنموي السياحي، استقبلت المحمية يوم الجمعة 1327 زائرا، توزعوا بواقع 176 اجنبيا، و601 ضمن برنامج "اردننا جنة"، و25 زائرا عربيا، و 396 اردنيا، و128 مقيما.

فيما بلغ عدد الزوار يوم السبت 937، منهم 429 اجنبيا، و265 ضمن برنامج "اردننا جنة"، و25 عربيا، و172 اردنيا، و45 مقيما.

وتظهر هذه الارقام نشاطا لافتا خلال عطلة نهاية الاسبوع، مدفوعا بزيادة الاقبال على برنامج "اردننا جنة"، الى جانب تزايد اعداد الزوار الاجانب، ما يعكس استمرار جاذبية البترا كوجهة سياحية رئيسية.
