قالت الأمم المتحدة اليوم الخميس، إن المبعوث الشخصي للأمين العام المعني بالنزاع في الشرق الأوسط وتداعياته، جان أرنو، عقد عدة اجتماعات في العاصمة الإيرانية طهران مع كبار المسؤولين في وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية.

وقال المتحدث باسم الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة، ستيفان دوجاريك، إن المبعوث الأممي التقى بممثلين عن جمعية الهلال الأحمر الإيراني وزار بعض المواقع المدنية التي تضررت جراء الغارات الجوية الأخيرة.

وأكد المبعوث الأممي الذي استمع إلى وجهات النظر بشأن سبل المضي قدمُا، على التزام الأمين العام الراسخ ببذل قصارى الجهود الممكنة لدعم التوصل إلى تسوية سلمية لهذا الصراع.

وسيواصل أرنو جولته الإقليمية بإجراء عدة زيارات، تهدف إلى دعم الجهود الجارية للتوصل إلى حل شامل ودائم لهذا الصراع.
