أكد جلالة الملك عبدالله الثاني خلال اتصال هاتفي مع الرئيس اللبناني العماد جوزاف عون، اليوم الخميس، ضرورة وقف العدوان الإسرائيلي على لبنان واستهداف المدنيين فيه.

وشدد جلالته، خلال الاتصال، على وقوف الأردن إلى جانب الأشقاء اللبنانيين، لافتا إلى حرص المملكة على تقديم الدعم لهم بما يعزز جهودهم في الحفاظ على أمن بلدهم واستقراره.

كما أكد جلالة الملك أهمية تكثيف الجهود الدولية لوقف الاعتداء على لبنان واستدامة جهود التهدئة بعد التوصل لاتفاق وقف إطلاق النار بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران.

بدوره، أعرب الرئيس اللبناني عن شكره وتقديره لجلالة الملك على مواقفه الداعمة للبنان وشعبه.
