حضّ نائب الرئيس الأميركي جاي دي فانس إيران الأربعاء على عدم السماح بانهيار اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار الهشّ بسبب الهجمات الإسرائيلية على لبنان، قبل أيام من قيادته محادثات مع طهران في باكستان.

وقال فانس للصحافيين في المجر "إذا أرادت إيران أن تدع هذه المفاوضات تنهار... بسبب لبنان، الذي لا علاقة له بها، والذي لم تقل الولايات المتحدة يوما إنه جزء من وقف إطلاق النار، فهذا في النهاية خيارها".
