يدرس البيت الأبيض إجراء محادثات مباشرة مع إيران لكن ذلك لم يحسم بعد، بحسب ما قالت الناطقة باسمه كارولاين ليفيت الثلاثاء، وذلك بعدما اتفقت واشنطن وطهران على وقف إطلاق النار لمدة أسبوعين.

وقال ليفيت بعد إعلان إيران موافقتها على بدء محادثات مع الولايات المتحدة الجمعة في باكستان "هناك مناقشات حول إجراء محادثات مباشرة، لكن لا شيء نهائيا حتى يعلنه الرئيس (دونالد ترامب) أو البيت الأبيض".

وكان الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب أعلن موافقته على تعليق قصف إيران وشن هجمات عليها لمدة أسبوعين.

ونقل موقع أكسيوس عن مسؤول في البيت الأبيض قوله إن إسرائيل وافقت أيضا، على وقف إطلاق النار مع إيران، لمدة أسبوعين.
