استُؤنفت حركة عبور المركبات على جسر الملك فهد الرابط بين السعودية والبحرين، بعد تعليقها احترازيا إثر إنذارات أمنية في المنطقة الشرقية.

وكانت السلطات قد أعلنت، الثلاثاء، تعليق حركة العبور عبر الجسر، استنادًا إلى تنبيهات صادرة عن المنصة الوطنية للإنذار المبكر، قبل أن تعود الحركة إلى طبيعتها لاحقا.

ويُعد جسر الملك فهد، الممتد بطول 25 كيلومترا، المنفذ البري الوحيد الذي يربط بين البلدين، ويشهد حركة مرور كثيفة، خاصة خلال عطلات نهاية الأسبوع والمناسبات الرسمية.
