أبلغ وزير الخارجية القطري الشيخ محمد بن عبد الرحمن آل ثاني الاثنين نظيره الإيراني عباس عراقجي بأن الحل الدبلوماسي هو السبيل الوحيد لتسوية الأزمة في المنطقة.

وقالت وزارة الخارجية القطرية في بيان إن الشيخ محمد أبلغ عراقجي خلال اتصال هاتفي بأن قطر تستنكر "الاستهداف الإيراني المستمر لقطر ودول المنطقة، مؤكدا أن هذا التصعيد تجاه دول نأت بنفسها عن الحرب يمثل عبثا بأمن المنطقة واستهتارا باستقرارها".

كما أكد وزير الخارجية القطري أن "استهداف البنية التحتية المدنية ومقدرات الشعوب يعد سلوكا مرفوضا ومدانا من أي طرف وتحت أي ظرف، مطالبا باحترام القانون الدولي من قبل جميع الأطراف وتجنيب الشعوب تبعات النزاعات".
