أعلن الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب السبت إن "العديد" من قادة الجيش الإيراني قُتلوا في ضربة جوية ضخمة استهدفت طهران.

وكتب ترامب على منصته "تروث سوشال "تم القضاء على العديد من القادة العسكريين الإيرانيبن الذين كانت قيادتهم سيئة وغير حكيمة، إلى جانب كثيرين غيرهم، في هذه الضربة الجوية الضخمة في طهران".

وأرفق ترامب منشوره بمقطع فيديو يظهر وميض انفجارات يضيء المدينة ليلا، لكنه لم يحدد الوقت الذي وقعت فيه هذه الضربة.

واندلعت الحرب قبل أكثر من شهر بضربات أميركية إسرائيلية على إيران، ما أدى إلى رد فعل انتقامي من قبل القوات الايرانية تسبب بامتداد النزاع إلى دول عدة في الشرق الأوسط وألحق أضرارا بالغة بالاقتصاد العالمي.
