اعتبرت إيران الخميس أن مطالب الولايات المتحدة لإنهاء الحرب في الشرق الأوسط "متطرفة وغير منطقية" نافية في الوقت نفسه إجراء مفاوضات بشأن وقف إطلاق النار، وفق وسائل إعلام إيرانية.

ونقلت وكالة أنباء إسنا الإيرانية عن المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية إسماعيل بقائي قوله "تم تلقي رسائل عبر وسطاء، بمن فيهم باكستان، لكن لا توجد مفاوضات مباشرة مع الولايات المتحدة"، مضيفا أن مطالب واشنطن "متطرفة وغير منطقية".

ونقل عنه التلفزيون الرسمي قوله "نحن مستعدون لأي نوع من الهجوم، بما في ذلك هجوم برّي"، فيما أكّد الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب أن طهران تطالب بوقف إطلاق النار.
