دعا وزير الخارجية الروسية سيرغي لافروف، الثلاثاء، إلى وقف التصعيد في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، محذرا في الوقت نفسه من اتساع رقعة الصراع وتسجيل المزيد من التدهور في أسواق الطاقة العالمية.

وقال لافروف خلال مؤتمر صحفي:"إن أزمة الشرق الأوسط قد تتفاقم لتتحول إلى صراع أوسع إذا استمرت المواجهات الحالية، ما قد يهدد استقرار المنطقة بالكامل، روسيا مستعدة للقيام بدور الوسيط بين الأطراف المعنية بالنزاع في الشرق الأوسط، سعيا لاحتواء الأزمة ووقف التصعيد".
