أعلن الجيش الإسرائيلي مقتل 4 من أفراده وإصابة 3 آخرين خلال اشتباكات في جنوبي لبنان.

وفي الثاني من آذار، أطلق حزب الله صواريخ عدة من لبنان استهدفت شمال إسرائيل، ردا على اغتيال خامنئي، مما جرّ لبنان إلى حرب مفتوحة مع إسرائيل، حيث نفذت الأخيرة غارات مدمرة على لبنان.

وتشن إسرائيل والولايات المتحدة ضربات جوية على إيران منذ السبت 28 شباط، أدت إلى مقتل المرشد الأعلى الإيراني علي خامنئي، ومنذ ذلك الحين تردّ طهران بضرب إسرائيل ودول في المنطقة بصواريخ وطائرات مسيّرة.
