شهدت مدينة ماكاو في الصين واقعة غير مألوفة أثارت اهتمامًا واسعًا بين المارة، بعدما تسبب روبوت بشري الشكل في إثارة حالة من الذعر لدى سيدة أثناء سيرها في أحد الشوارع المزدحمة. وأعادت الحادثة تسليط الضوء على التحديات المرتبطة باستخدام الروبوتات في الأماكن العامة ومدى تأثيرها على سلامة الأفراد.

وبحسب تقارير محلية نقلتها صحيفة “نيويورك تايمز”، كانت سيدة تبلغ من العمر 70 عامًا تسير في شارع رئيسي منشغلة بهاتفها، قبل أن تشعر بحركة سريعة خلفها. وعندما التفتت، فوجئت بروبوت يبلغ طوله نحو 1.3 متر يقترب منها، ما أدى إلى إصابتها بحالة هلع وصراخ. وقد جرى نقلها لاحقًا إلى المستشفى للاطمئنان على حالتها الصحية.
