أعلنت وزارة الخزانة الأميركية الخميس أن العملة الورقية الأميركية الجديدة ستحمل قريبا توقيع دونالد ترامب، في خطوة ستكون الأولى من نوعها لرئيس أميركي في منصبه، وتتزامن مع الذكرى السنوية الـ 250 لتأسيس البلاد.

وقال وزير الخزانة سكوت بيسنت في بيان أعلن فيه القرار "تحت قيادة الرئيس ترامب، نحن نسير على طريق نحو نمو اقتصادي غير مسبوق، وهيمنة دائمة للدولار، وقوة واستقرار ماليين".

وأضاف "ليس هناك طريقة أقوى للاعتراف بالإنجازات التاريخية لبلدنا العظيم والرئيس دونالد ج. ترامب من إصدار أوراق نقدية من الدولار الأميركي تحمل توقيعه، ومن المناسب فقط إصدار هذه العملة التاريخية في الذكرى ال250 لتأسيس البلاد".
