أعلن وزير الإعلام اللبناني بول مرقص الخميس أن لبنان سيتقدم بشكوى إلى مجلس الأمن ضدّ الهجمات الإسرائيلية شملت تدمير جسور ومبانٍ سكنية وهدما للمنازل، ما أسفر عن "تهجير جماعي" من جنوب البلاد.

وقال مرقص عقب جلسة لمجلس الوزراء إن رئيس الحكومة نواف سلام سيتواصل "مباشرة مع الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة" أنطونيو غوتيريش بهذا الخصوص، وطلب من وزير الخارجية يوسف رجي أن يقوم "فورا بتقديم شكوى أمام مجلس الأمن".

واعتبرت الحكومة الهجمات الإسرائيلية "أمرا خطيرا للغاية يهدد سيادة لبنان وسلامة أراضيه وحقوق أبنائه".
