أعلن رئيس الوزراء الباكستاني شهباز شريف الثلاثاء أن إسلام أباد مستعدة لاستضافة مفاوضات لوضع حد للحرب الأميركية-الإسرائيلية على إيران، بعدما سرت تكهّنات تفيد بأنها قد تلعب دور الوسيط.

وكتب على "إكس" "ترحّب باكستان وتدعم بالكامل الجهود الجارية للمضي قدما في الحوار لوضع حد للحرب في الشرق الأوسط، بما يصب بمصلحة السلام والاستقرار في المنطقة وخارجها".

وأضاف "رهن موافقة الولايات المتحدة وإيران، فإن باكستان جاهزة ويشرّفها بأن تكون البلد المضيف لتسهيل محادثات ذات معنى ونتائج حاسمة من أجل تسوية شاملة للصراع الجاري".
