قال وزير الطاقة والثروة المعدنية صالح الخرابشة إن أسعار النفط شهدت ارتفاعات كبيرة منذ بداية الحرب في المنطقة، مشيرا إلى أن الكلف اليومية على قطاع الطاقة جراء الأزمة الحالية تبلغ نحو 2.5 مليون دينار.

وأوضح الخرابشة، مساء الخميس، أن الأردن يمتلك احتياطات مريحة من مشتقات النفط، لافتا إلى أن المخزونات الحالية من الطاقة تكفي لمدة تصل إلى 30 يوما، ويتم تعزيزه باستمرار.

وبين أن لدى المملكة خطط طوارئ في قطاع الطاقة تهدف إلى ضمان أمن المخزون الاستراتيجي والاستفادة منه في الأوضاع الحالية، بالإضافة إلى زيادة الاعتماد على مصادر الطاقة المحلية في الوضع الراهن.

وأوضح أنه من ضمن هذه الخطط، تم الاستفادة من الباخرة العائمة في العقبة لاستيراد الغاز من الأسواق العالمية.
