نعت إيران رسميا ليل الثلاثاء أمين المجلس الأعلى للأمن القومي علي لاريجاني، إحدى الشخصيات الرئيسية في الحكم، بعد ساعات من إعلان إسرائيل اغتياله في ضربة جوية.

وجاء في بيان لأمانة المجلس "لقد لحق عبد من عباد الله بربه شهيدا"، مضيفا "بعد حياة من النضال من أجل تقدم إيران والثورة الإسلامية... نال في سَحرٍ مبارك من شهر رمضان، برفقة نجله المؤمن مرتضى، ومعاون الأمن في الأمانة العامة للمجلس الأعلى للأمن القومي علي رضا بيات، وجمعٍ من الحماة الغيارى، الدرجة الرفيعة للشهادة".
