قالت مسؤولة السياسة الخارجية في الاتحاد الأوروبي كايا كالاس، الاثنين، إن الدول الأعضاء ستناقش الإجراءات التي يمكن اتخاذها من الجانب الأوروبي لإبقاء مضيق هرمز مفتوحا.

وقالت للصحفيين قبيل اجتماع لوزراء خارجية التكتل في بروكسل "من مصلحتنا إبقاء مضيق هرمز مفتوحا، ولذلك نناقش أيضا ما يمكننا فعله في هذا الصدد من الجانب الأوروبي".

وتشن إسرائيل والولايات المتحدة ضربات جوية على إيران منذ السبت 28 شباط، أدت لمقتل المرشد الأعلى علي خامنئي، ومنذ ذلك الحين، ترد طهران بضرب إسرائيل ودول في المنطقة بصواريخ وطائرات مسيّرة.
