قالت ثلاثة مصادر مطلعة إن إدارة الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب رفضت جهودا يبذلها حلفاؤها في الشرق الأوسط لبدء مفاوضات دبلوماسية تهدف إلى إنهاء الحرب مع إيران التي اندلعت قبل أسبوعين بهجوم جوي أميركي إسرائيلي واسع النطاق.

وذكر مصدران إيرانيان كبيران لـ"رويترز" أن طهران رفضت احتمال التوصل إلى أي وقف لإطلاق النار لحين توقف الهجمات الأميركية والإسرائيلية، وأضافا أن عدة دول كانت تحاول التوسط لإنهاء الصراع.
