منذ أن شنت الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل هجمات منسقة على إيران في 28 فبراير، قُتل ما لا يقل عن 13 جنديا أميركيا.وأسفرت الحرب في المنطقة حتى الآن عن مقتل ما يقرب من 2000 شخص.

وآخر الضحايا هم أفراد طاقم طائرة التزود بالوقود الستة التي تحطمت في العراق في 12 مارس.

ولم تُعلن هويات أفراد الطاقم القتلى بعد، بانتظار إبلاغ عائلاتهم.

ووفقا لوسائل إعلام إميركية بلغ إجمالي عدد الجرحى والمصابين من الجنود الأميركيين نحو 200 عسكري، من بينهم نحو 170 عادوا إلى الخدمة العسكرية بعد تلقي العلاج.

من بين الجنود الذين لقوا حتفهم، قُتل 6 في الأول من مارس خلال هجوم بطائرة مسيرة على ميناء الشعيبة في الكويت.

ويجري التحقيق في الهجوم. كانوا مُلحقين بالقيادة 103 للدعم اللوجستي في دي موين، والتي تُعنى بتوفير الغذاء والماء والذخيرة للقوات، ونقل المعدات والإمدادات.
