قالت مصادر أمن عراقية لرويترز، السبت إن السفارة الأميركية في بغداد تعرضت لهجوم صاروخي.

وأضافت المصادر أن الهجوم تسبب في تصاعد الدخان من مبنى السفارة، دون ذكر تفاصيل عن الأضرار.

كما أفاد مصدر أمني آخر أن هجوما استهدف البعثة الدبلوماسية.

ويأتي هذا الهجوم بعد سلسلة من الضربات التي استهدفت كتائب حزب الله في العراق أسفرت عن مقتل شخصين في بغداد وفق العديد من المصادر.

وذكرت وكالة أسوشيتد برس، نقلا عن اثنين من مسؤولي الأمن العراقيين، أن صاروخا ضرب مهبط المروحيات داخل مجمع السفارة الأميركية في بغداد.

وتشن إسرائيل والولايات المتحدة ضربات جوية على إيران منذ السبت 28 شباط، أدت إلى مقتل المرشد الأعلى الإيراني علي خامنئي، ومنذ ذلك الحين تردّ طهران بضرب إسرائيل ودول في المنطقة بصواريخ وطائرات مسيّرة.
