قال الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب، إن إيران "مهزومة تماما وتريد إبرام اتفاق" لكنه لن يوافق عليه، وذلك بعد أسبوعين من بدء الحرب في الشرق الأوسط.

وكتب ترامب على منصته تروث سوشال "تكره وسائل الإعلام التي تنشر أخبارا كاذبة التحدث عن النتائج العظيمة التي حققها الجيش الأميركي ضد إيران التي هُزمت تماما وتريد إبرام اتفاق، لكنه لن يكون اتفاقا أوافق عليه!".

وتشن إسرائيل والولايات المتحدة ضربات جوية على إيران منذ السبت 28 شباط، أدت إلى مقتل المرشد الأعلى الإيراني علي خامنئي، ومنذ ذلك الحين تردّ طهران بضرب إسرائيل ودول في المنطقة بصواريخ وطائرات مسيّرة.
