أكد جلالة الملك عبدالله الثاني، خلال اتصال هاتفي مع جلالة الملك ويليام ألكسندر، ملك مملكة هولندا، اليوم الخميس، ضرورة تكثيف الجهود الدولية لوقف التصعيد الخطير في المنطقة.

وأكد جلالته، خلال الاتصال الذي تلقاه، أن الأردن يضع حماية مواطنيه في مقدمة أولوياته، ومستمر باتخاذ ما يلزم من إجراءات لصون أمنه واستقراره.

وحذر جلالة الملك من استغلال التطورات الحالية كذريعة لانتهاك حرية المصلين بالوصول إلى المسجد الأقصى المبارك/ الحرم القدسي الشريف، وفرض واقع جديد في الضفة الغربية وغزة.
