قالت رئيسة المفوضية الأوروبية أورسولا فون دير لاين، إن 10

أيام من الحرب كلفت دافعي الضرائب في أوروبا 3 مليارات يورو إضافية من واردات الوقود الأحفوري. مشيرة إلى ارتفاع أسعار الغاز بنسبة 50 بالمئة وأسعار النفط بنسبة 27 بالمئة.

وأوضحت دير لاين في خطاب أمام البرلمان الأوروبي حول التداعيات الاقتصادية للصراع في الشرق الأوسط على الأوروبيين اليوم الأربعاء، بأن المفوضية تقييم حاليا إجراءات إضافية لتقليص فواتير الطاقة، بما في ذلك فرض سقف سعري لأسعار الغاز.

وأكدت أن الجهود التي بذلتها المفوضية الأوروبية لتنويع موردي الوقود الأحفوري ساهمت في الحد من تأثير تداعيات الصراع في الشرق الأوسط. لكنها شددت على أن ذلك لا يعني أن أوروبا بمنأى عن تقلبات الأسعار.
