أعلنت وزارة الدفاع التركية الثلاثاء، نشر منظومة باتريوت أميركية للدفاع الجوي في إقليم ملاطية بجنوب شرق البلاد، وذلك في إطار إجراءات حلف شمال الأطلسي لتعزيز الدفاعات الجوية للدولة العضو في مواجهة التهديدات الصاروخية الناجمة عن حرب إيران.

وتقع قاعدة كورجيك الرادارية التابعة للحلف في ملاطية وتوفر بيانات حيوية للحلف وساهمت في تحديد موقع صاروخين باليستيين إيرانيين كانا متجهين نحو تركيا.

وأكدت الوزارة في بيان أن تركيا ستواصل التعاون مع حلفائها في الحلف وتقييم التطورات بالمنطقة.
