أعلن وزير الأمن القومي الإسرائيلي المتطرف إيتمار بن غفير، الإثنين، أن سكان جميع الأحياء اليهودية في القدس سيكونون مؤهلين للحصول على رخصة سلاح.

وقالت صحيفة "هآرتس" الإسرائيلية، أن 300 ألف شخص في القدس، يعيشون في 41 حيا مختلفا، سيدخلون إلى دائرة الاستحقاق للحصول على رخصة سلاح.

وأطلق بن غفير سياسة تسليح الإسرائيليين، بمَن فيهم مستوطنين في الضفة الغربية المحتلة، في نهاية عام 2023 بعد اندلاع حرب الإبادة الإسرائيلية على قطاع غزة.

ويشن المستوطنون بشكل شبه يومي هجمات إرهابية، مستخدمين أسلحة نارية، ضد الفلسطينيين في الضفة الغربية المحتلة، لتهجيرهم قسريا والاستيلاء على أراضيهم وممتلكاتهم.
