أعلنت وزارة الدفاع السعودية، فجر الأحد، إحباط محاولة استهداف بطائرة مسيّرة باتجاه الحي الدبلوماسي بالرياض.

وبحسب ما ذكرت وكالة الأنباء السعودية "واس"، أكد المتحدث الرسمي لوزارة الدفاع أنه لم تنتج أية أضرار مادية أو إصابات بالمدنيين جراء إسقاط المسيّرة.

وصرح المتحدث في وقت سابق أنه تم اعتراض وتدمير 6 طائرات مسيّرة شرق الرياض.

وتشن إسرائيل والولايات المتحدة ضربات جوية على إيران منذ السبت 28 شباط، أدت لمقتل المرشد الأعلى علي خامنئي، ومنذ ذلك الحين، ترد طهران بضرب إسرائيل ودول في المنطقة بصواريخ وطائرات مسيّرة.
