أضاءت سلطة إقليم البترا التنموي السياحي، بالتعاون مع مديرية الأمن العام، معلم الخزنة في مدينة البترا باللون الأزرق، تضامنا مع الحملة الدولية التي يقودها الإنتربول لتكريم ضباط الشرطة الذين فقدوا حياتهم أثناء أداء واجبهم.

وجاءت هذه الخطوة تزامنا مع اليوم الدولي لإحياء ذكرى ضباط الشرطة الذين فقدوا حياتهم أثناء أداء واجبهم، والذي يصادف السابع من آذار من كل عام.

وتهدف المبادرة إلى تكريم رجال الشرطة حول العالم الذين ضحوا بحياتهم في سبيل خدمة الأمن العام ومجتمعاتهم، والتأكيد على قيم التضحية والواجب التي يجسدها رجال الأمن في أداء رسالتهم الإنسانية والأمنية.
