قال الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب في مقابلة مع شبكة "إن بي سي نيوز"، إن إرسال قوات برية إلى إيران سيكون "مضيعة للوقت".

وأوضح أن إرسال قوات برية إلى إيران "مضيعة للوقت. فقد خسروا كل شيء. خسروا أسطولهم البحري. خسروا كل ما يمكن أن يخسروه".

وتشن إسرائيل والولايات المتحدة ضربات جوية على إيران منذ السبت، أدت لمقتل المرشد الأعلى علي خامنئي، ومنذ ذلك الحين، ترد طهران بضرب إسرائيل ودول في المنطقة بصواريخ وطائرات مسيّرة.

والأحد، أطلق حزب الله صواريخ عدة من لبنان استهدفت شمالي إسرائيل؛ ردا على اغتيال خامنئي، وجرت لبنان إلى حرب مفتوحة مع إسرائيل، حيث نفذت غارات مدمرة على جنوب لبنان والضاحية الجنوبية لبيروت.
