أعلن الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب الخميس إقالة وزيرة الأمن الداخلي كريستي نويم، إحدى مهندسات سياسة ترحيل المهاجرين غير النظاميين.

وقال ترامب في منشور على منصته الاجتماعية تروث سوشال إن الوزيرة التي كلفها بمهمة "مبعوثة خاصة" الى أميركا اللاتينية، سيخلفها في 31 آذار/مارس السناتور الجمهوري ماركواين مولين.

ووفق تقارير صحافية، اتخذ ترامب قراره بعد جلسات استماع في الكونغرس واجهت خلالها كريستي نويم صعوبة في الإجابة على تساؤلات تتعلق بمنح عقد عام كبير.
