تلقى جلالة الملك عبدالله الثاني، اليوم الخميس، اتصالا هاتفيا من فضيلة الإمام الأكبر الأستاذ الدكتور أحمد الطيب، شيخ الأزهر الشريف.

وتناول الاتصال المستجدات الخطيرة في المنطقة، إذ أكد الجانبان ضرورة وقف الاعتداءات الإيرانية على المملكة ودول في المنطقة، والعودة إلى الحوار لتجنب المزيد من الصراعات.

وأعرب شيخ الأزهر عن رفضه للاعتداء الإيراني على الأردن، واستنكاره للاعتداء على سيادة الدول العربية.

وبحث الاتصال التطورات في الضفة الغربية، وضرورة خفض التصعيد وحماية حرية المصلين بالوصول إلى المسجد الأقصى المبارك/الحرم القدسي الشريف، خاصة في شهر رمضان المبارك.
