أُسقطت مسيّرة الأربعاء قرب مطار بغداد الدولي، غداة إسقاط مسيّرة أخرى في المنطقة نفسها، وفق ما أفاد مصدران أمنيان.

يضم المطار قاعدة عسكرية تستضيف فريقا للدعم اللوجيستي يتبع للسفارة الأميركية، وكان يضم قوات من التحالف بقيادة الولايات المتحدة إبان غزو العراق عام 2003.

وأفاد مصدر أمني عراقي بأنه "تم إسقاط طائرة مسيّرة قرب مطار بغداد من دون تسجيل خسائر بشرية او أضرار مادية". وأكد مصدر أمني آخر الحادث.

وذكرت مصادر أمنية أن هجومين بطائرات مسيرة استهدفا قاعدة عسكرية أمريكية وفندقا في أربيل فجر الأربعاء.
