أفاد أربعة شهود عيان صباح الثلاثاء بسماع دوي انفجارات تبعه تصاعد الدخّان فوق الحي الدبلوماسي في العاصمة السعودية الرياض، فيما تواصل إيران مهاجمة دول الخليج ردا على الهجمات الأميركية الإسرائيلية ضدها والتي اسفرت عن مقتل المرشد الأعلى للجمهورية الإسلامية.

وقال شاهد عيان من سكان الحيّ فضل عدم ذكر اسمه لحساسية المسألة "سمعت انفجارين تبعهما تصاعد الدخّان فوق الحي" الذي يضم مقار السفارات وسكن الدبلوماسيين الأجانب، وهو ما أكده ثلاثة شهود آخرين في المنطقة التي تخضع عادة لحراسة أمنية مشددة.
