عادل النجم الأرجنتيني ليونيل ميسي، رقم الأسطورة البرازيلي الراحل بيليه في عدد الأهداف المسجلة من الركلات الحرة المباشرة، بعد أن رفع رصيده إلى 70 هدفاً. جاء ذلك خلال مواجهة فريقه إنتر ميامي أمام أورلاندو سيتي ضمن منافسات الدوري الأمريكي لكرة القدم، حيث سجل ميسي هدفين، أحدهما من ركلة حرة متقنة.

وبهذا الإنجاز، يتقاسم ميسي وبيليه المركز الثاني في قائمة أكثر اللاعبين تسجيلاً من الركلات الحرة في تاريخ كرة القدم، خلف البرازيلي جونينيو بيرنامبوكانو الذي يتصدر برصيد 77 هدفاً. ويواصل ميسي (الحائز على ثماني كرات ذهبية) تعزيز إرثه التاريخي منذ انطلاق مسيرته الاحترافية عام 2003، مع تسجيله أرقاماً قياسية مع برشلونة وباريس سان جيرمان قبل انتقاله إلى إنتر ميامي، حيث يواصل كتابة فصول جديدة في مسيرته الاستثنائية.
