قبرص تؤكد تعرض قاعدة بريطانية لهجوم بمسيرة

قال الرئيس القبرصي نيكوس خريستودوليدس الاثنين، إن قاعدة أكروتيري التابعة لسلاح الجو الملكي البريطاني في قبرص تعرضت لهجوم خلال الليل بطائرة مسيّرة من طراز شاهد، مما أسفر عن أضرار مادية طفيفة.

وقال خريستودوليدس في بيان "أود أن أوضح: بلادنا لا تشارك بأي شكل من الأشكال، ولا تنوي أن تكون جزءا من أي عملية عسكرية".

وكانت مصادر قد قالت لرويترز في وقت سابق إن قاعدة أكروتيري التابعة لسلاح الجو الملكي البريطاني استُهدفت بطائرتين مسيّرتين، تم اعتراض إحداهما. وأكد خريستودوليدس أنه على اتصال دائم مع القادة الأوروبيين وغيرهم لمتابعة التطورات.
