قال الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب لشبكة فوكس نيوز الأحد، إنّ "48 مسؤولا" إيرانيا قُتلوا حتى الآن، مشيرا إلى أنّ الهجوم الأميركي الإسرائيلي على الجمهورية الإسلامية "يتقدم بسرعة".

وأفادت الصحافية التي تحدثت إلى ترامب في منشور على منصة إكس، بأنّه قال لها "الأمور تتقدم بسرعة. لا أحد يصدق أننا نجحنا. تمّ القضاء على 48 مسؤولا دفعة واحدة".

وأوضحت أنّ محادثتهما جرت قبل الإعلان عن أولى الخسائر الأميركية في هذا النزاع والتي تمثّلت في مقتل ثلاثة أميركيين وإصابة خمسة آخرين بجروح خطيرة، بحسب ما أعلنت القيادة العسكرية الأميركية للشرق الأوسط (سنتكوم) الأحد.
